We had 11 Classic Porsches brave the elements: sunny, not hot, clear blue skies and some Porsche roads not yet explored. In other words, a perfect day for a drive in the country.
Starting from the South Hills we wound our way to Plummer, ID where we found the bane of summer driving, CHIP SEAL! Fortunately for us we only drove 200 yards on it, though it felt like a life time. Off the chip seal, we took the road less traveled to Tekoa, WA. For our R&R stop, snacks and water were provided by the tour leader. Some enjoyed the amenities of downtown Tekoa: coffee and ice-cream.
Next stop Latah, WA for our group photo opportunity in front of a semi-restored gas station there. Thumbs-up from some of the locals.
Then, the remainder of the drive back to Spokane Valley and our final stop, lunch.
A great day to drive a classic Porsche!
